Biography

Sonal Chawla is Assistant Vice President – Talent Management & Content Development at T-Series, the world’s largest music label and the most-subscribed YouTube channel globally with over 311 million subscribers. Based in Mumbai, she leads talent management, artist development, and content strategy across India’s evolving music and entertainment landscape.

With over a decade of experience in the Media & Entertainment industry, Sonal has played a significant role in building and managing artist careers at scale. Her work focuses on strategically shaping an artist’s long-term career graph through music positioning, repertoire planning, collaborations, release strategy, brand alignment, digital presence, audience growth, and commercial expansion across platforms and markets.
At T-Series, she works closely with artists, producers, directors, labels, streaming platforms, and brand partners to create impactful music and content ecosystems. Her role spans talent acquisition, A&R strategy, content development, visual storytelling, campaign execution, and market positioning for both established and emerging artists.

She also played a key role in building and expanding T-Series’ A&R and artist management division, helping develop commercially successful artist brands including Guru Randhawa, Neha Kakkar, Jubin Nautiyal, Sachet-Parampara, and Nora Fatehi — artists who collectively command hundreds of millions of followers and billions of views across YouTube and streaming platforms.

She is also the creator of the highly successful MixTape Series (Hindi & Punjabi), a format that became one of India’s most successful music web franchises and contributed significantly to the rise of non-film and independent music in the mainstream market.
