Emma Gabriel is an alternative R&B artist from Ottawa whose music invites listeners into a world of vulnerability, honesty, and raw emotion. Blending classic soul textures with a contemporary edge, Emma’s sound is both familiar and fresh. Her smoky vocals and introspective songwriting have earned her a growing fanbase, and with each release, she continues to carve out a space for herself in the Canadian music scene and beyond. Emma first made waves with her debut single “The Villain,” which dropped in 2023 and quickly racked up over 20,000 Spotify streams. The song’s success landed her a feature on Spotify’s official “Mood Ring” playlist and introduced her as a bold new voice in the alt-R&B world. She was soon selected for Ottawa’s prestigious FRMULA artist development program—an initiative founded by City Fidelia—which allowed her to refine her craft and collaborate with some of the city’s top producers. In January 2025, Emma released “Patience,” a standout single that marks both sonic and emotional growth. Lyrically honest and vocally restrained in all the right ways, Patience showcases Emma’s ability to tell a story without ever raising her voice, pulling you in with every breath. Garnering over 12K streams within its first few months, Patience launched Gabriel’s new sound into 2025. Emma’s live performances have taken her to stages at Departure Festival, Cranium Showcase, Pitch Scotland, and Sweden’s Live at Heart Festival, where she shared her music with international audiences.
