Biography

From a young age, Jeansen Djaoen, born on January 21, 1987, knew he wanted to work in the media. As a young boy, he came into contact with music early on, gaining thousands of hours of experience in studios as an artist, composer, and writer. Over the years, he rose to become an artist manager, A&R representative, and executive producer. Simultaneously, he continued to develop within the media world. He started working as a radio reporter for FunX. In 2016, he won both the jury and the audience award for the NTR Radio Prize. Over the years, he advanced in his role to become a reporter coach and is currently the chief radio editor at FunX. He also started his own production company, through which he has created various programs, series, and documentaries for television and YouTube. He makes no secret of the fact that he has a criminal record. In the EO documentary ‘Lost Boys,’ he tells his story, and you see how he tries to get his life back on track after his detention. This documentary painfully exposed the failure of social service agencies within the Netherlands. The documentary achieved exceptionally high viewership figures and has since been watched millions of times. It is used as teaching material in various schools, at the Dutch Probation Service, and at various municipalities and government agencies in the Netherlands and the Antilles.
