Biography

Edner is a Stockholm-based artist crafting queer-eyed Nordic soul pop rooted in conversational storytelling. Drawing from ’70s soul and folk pop traditions, his songs explore the polarity of a straight crush—and the human condition of being in between, suspended in melodrama and spectacle.

A child of the 90s formed on the “naughtys” entertainers, particularly one said Robbie Williams, a pivotal moment for a seven year old Edner as one fated day he was transfixed by the power of the song “Feel”. One year later it started off with guitar lessons, playing everything from Bach to Beatles and a few moments later an electric literally landed in his lap–a trajectory of talent shows ensued in middle school with Edner and his band of rock and roll emerging victorious turnouts.

Edner has been described as “deserving to go down in history as the ultimate aural debonair…” (A&R Factory). Think Mercury’s bravura, Robert Plant’s panache, and Jeff Buckleys silkiness—through a lens of Scandinavian maximalism. His live show moves seamlessly between stripped-back confession and full-force soul revue.

“What If I Told You,” was praised by Independent Spirits: “What really stands out is Edner’s vocal delivery — sincere, warm, and brimming with feeling — making each line feel like a personal conversation rather than just another lyric.” Splitting his time between Stockholm and LA, Edner has played the iconic, Johnny Depp-owned, The Viper Room and receiving a personal invitation from Spotify to join their queer GLOW camp at the headquarters.

With growing momentum, he’s ready to bring his cinematic, downsized format of his high-impact live show to Rotterdam and New School Rules 2026. As Edner prepares for new releases, Scandinavian Soul describes his sound as “…from naked and vulnerable to larger-than-life and back, as smooth as water pouring out emotion for the listener to be soaked in.”
