Addy Awofisayo Music Executive and Creative Economy Strategist

Addy Awofisayo is a music executive and cultural architect dedicated to building sustainable, scalable ecosystems for the creative economy across emerging markets. Having served as the first Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa at YouTube, Addy is at the forefront of the global “African sound” explosion, leading the strategy to champion African artists, labels, and creators on a world stage.

With a career that bridges the gap between high-finance rigor and creative innovation, Addy has been instrumental in launching landmark initiatives that define the modern African digital landscape. From ideating the Africa Day Benefit Concert (hosted by Idris Elba) to leading the YouTube Black Voices Fund in SSA, her work focuses on the intersection of technology, monetization, and cultural equity.

An alumna of Harvard University and the University of Virginia, Addy combines data-driven strategy with a deep passion for the creators who drive global culture. She has lived and worked in five countries, bringing a truly global, multi-functional lens to the future of the entertainment industry.
