Biography
Official selectee for BAEP’s 2026 Export Program- Fiyin Obayan is a Saskatchewan based vocalist whose work blends jazz, soul, and contemporary gospel influences into a sound rooted in storytelling and emotional connection. With formal training in musical theatre and jazz performance, she brings both technical precision and expressive depth to her live performances. Her work emphasizes strong vocals, meaningful lyrics, and an ability to connect with audiences across generations.
Fiyin has performed at established events including the SaskTel Jazz Festival and continues to be active within Canada’s jazz and arts community. In October 2024, she released her single Walking by Faith, which received radio airplay and international placements on CHVN Radio 95.1 FM, Radio Cité Montréal, EJazz Radio, Sons do Guardinha The Cool Jazz Collection in Brazil, and additional global jazz and soul platforms.
