Gerson Rafael (NL)

Biography

Gerson Rafael is a talented singer/songwriter, born and raised in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
With a great passion for R&B, Gerson wants to unite music lovers by sharing his life story through his songs. By doing so, he hopes to connect with people on another level. And he loves to do this with a smile!

Gerson’s love for music started at a young age, when his father decided to record songs together with him in the living room. As a teenager his love for music grew even more, as he was chosen to sing in the church band. He grew up with the likes of Usher, Justin Timberlake and more. Next to his him being a singer/songwriter and dancer, he’s also graduated with a bachelor degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam.

After a couple of years, Gerson decided it was time to develop his own musical skills by getting vocal lessons from Jordan Roy (known from Adlicious) With these skills, he would eventually buy a simple laptop, a studio mic and a recording program, to record his own songs in his bedroom. Something he would do on a daily basis. And through his dancing experience, his love for entertaining people grew even stronger.

After meeting his role models Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank, performing at urban radio station Funx and participating in Dutch TV show DanceSing, Gerson knew it was time to really make the most out of it. He has already worked with artists such as Lucas & Steve, Luca Rezza and Mike La Funk. This is his time to shine!
