Aleighcia Scott (UK)

Biography

Aleighcia Scott is a Cardiff-born Welsh-Jamaican reggae artist who is set to release her debut album which she’s been working on with legendary producer, Rory Stone Love (legend of sound system and recently featured on the latest Beyoncé/Jay-Z album) in both the UK and Jamaica

Performing since the age of seven, Aleighcia has won various awards such as Radio Cardiff’s ‘Best Local Artist’ and is a two times winner of the MMG award for ‘Best Reggae Act’ with performances under her belt from Glastonbury, BBC Introducing stages, international stages and opening the show for icons such as Soul II Soul, Julian Marley, Lady Leeshurr. She has also released alongside the legendary Peckings Records (The original foundation of bringing Jamaican Reggae to the UK)

In 2021 Aleighcia was the first person to curate and present a full length reggae show for BBC Radio Wales, which resulted in her gaining her very own show every Thursday night with guests from around the world
