After a successful fifth edition in 2017, New Skool Rules is back! In 2018 there will be even more opportunities for you to take their music career to the next level. Held on May 18th-20th in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, New Skool Rules is the largest urban music conference and festival internationally. Emerging talent and seasoned professionals are brought together for three days of intense music, learning, networking, and business opportunities. The initial schedule is already packed – check it out now for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Last year, the conference welcomed more than 1,000 delegates from over 20 countries for panels, workshops, demo-listening sessions, and masterclasses. This year, New Skool Rules continues its tradition of bringing you key players from the music industry to share their years of experience and lessons learned with delegates by featuring speakers across the industry like Grammy-nominated songwriter and SVP of A&R Director of Creative Sterling Simms (Universal Publishing), Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriters Chris Henderson and Troy Taylor (Trey Songz), and General Manager of Warner/Chappell (CA) Vivian Barclay. Delegates will attend high quality events from panels like “How to Play the Streaming Game” and “Music Placement: TV, Films, Games, and Commercials” to masterclasses on production by Needlz (Grammy Award-winning producer, US) to workshops on legal basics with top entertainment lawyer Bob Celestin (RAC Law Firm).

In 2017, more than 4,000 festival visitors enjoyed showcase performances and jam sessions across the city. Performers range from seasoned professionals including DJ Trauma (US) and  Joe Flizzow (MY) to fresh showcase acts like Lady Sanity (UK), Jamie Joseph (UK), and EtheMadAssassin (US). This year the New Skool Rules Festival expands to include more venues to highlight an even larger crew of international artists and performers.
