Viva Mescal needs no introduction, born and raised in Boyle Heights, a neighborhood located east of the LA River, the representative and founder of the EOTR Network has made his name and EOTR brand synonymous with Los Angeles Underground Hip Hop. 2018 was Mescal’s biggest year, opening up for LA legend Murs at the historic Roxy Theater and leading his crew on a 2 night 4 show stint at the Novo in Downtown Los Angeles. Following the those big placements, Mescal took his music abroad performing at the 2018 New Skool Rules Conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands and gaining international recognition and industry praise from elite music minds like producer Troy Taylor who said “Not since NWA has hip hop had this type of unity in a group and movement from LA, let alone from Latin artists”
Mescal continued to open eyes as the music video for “Peyote Cactus” the first single off his new album Long Live: The Peyote (Jan. 2019) dropped in October to shake up the LA Underground scene. Rosecransave.com said “the track carries a vibe of Chicano rap that is a rarity to hear at the moment.”
With the growing influence of Latinos in Hip Hop and the historic lands Mescal occupies, 2019 looks primed for Viva Mescal and EOTR to take music by storm.
